Former traditional quarter of the algue fishermen, the Korejou Harbour still shows the visible marks of the evolution of this profession: ovens for soda ash and boats from the years 1930, clearances for drying algue in the dunes, transportation roads on the shore, ramps for the debarkation of the seaweed and modern seaweed fisher boats equipped with a so-called 'Scoubidou', a harvest crane with a special-shaped hook.
The site livens up for the yearly celebration of seaweed-harvesters at the end of August (since 1983).
During the visit of groups and school-classes, the exploration of this site and the possibility to meet a former seaweed-harvester (under reserve of sufficient volunteers) around the ancient places of harvest and treatment of the algue completes the visit of the museum.
